Regulatory compliance and environmental optimisation
What Is the PEP?
The Prevention & Eco-Design Plan (PEP) is a legal obligation arising from Article 72 of the AGEC Act and Article L. 541-10-12 of the French Environmental Code. It is a strategic document, established every 5 years by producers subject to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). It defines the actions and objectives aimed at reducing environmental impact, improving recyclability and incorporating greater quantities of recycled materials. The PEP must include data on reduction and reuse, the origin of raw materials, the proportion of recycled materials used and the recyclability of products. It must be submitted to each relevant eco-organisation.
