Assess and demonstrate the recyclability of your plastic packaging
What is it?
RecyClass is an independent European initiative led by Plastics Recyclers Europe, the association of European plastic recyclers across Europe. Its objective is to harmonize the assessment of plastic packaging recyclability.
As a RecyClass-accredited organization, RecycleMe is authorized to conduct detailed audits of your packaging against RecyClass criteria, with the aim of certifying or, where applicable, identifying non-compliance in your packaging.
Depending on your products, we issue three types of certificates. These can be used internally to validate recyclability, particularly in preparation for 2030 market requirements, as well as externally to support B2B communication, including the on-pack display of recyclability credentials.

Our Approach
- Scope definition (countries concerned, objectives)
- Technical analysis: product datasheet, materials, inks, additives, samples
- Assessment by a RecycleMe auditor
- Issuance of the certificate (valid for 3 years) + areas for improvement
The process takes approximately 4 weeks once technical data has been provided. Depending on the nature of your packaging, a sortability test may be required to verify detectability and compatibility with existing sorting systems.

- Official RecyClass certificate (valid for 3 years) stating the recyclability class (A to C) and the percentage of plastic that will be recycled
