Packaging Sortability Testing

Verify the ability of your packaging to be correctly sorted

What Is a Sorting Centre Test?

A sorting centre test consists of evaluating the ability of packaging to be correctly detected and directed towards the appropriate stream during the industrial sorting process.

Tests are carried out at operational sorting centres in France or abroad (Spain, the Netherlands…), under real-world conditions.

Who Is It For?

  • Companies that have already placed packaging on the market and wish to verify its detectability and effective sorting
  • Companies developing packaging at prototype or semi-finished stage, seeking to identify potential difficulties before it is placed in circulation

Service Description

Our tests verify whether characteristics such as colour, shape, size or material of the packaging may impair its detection and sorting. The protocol is based on:

  • Introduction of a representative volume of samples into a sorting centre
  • Full monitoring of their journey through all stages of the process
  • Identification of the final stream into which the packaging is directed

In addition, we also carry out static and dynamic tests on optical sorting machines to analyse detectability in greater detail.
