Understand, assess, act: your PPWR compliance plan
What is this?
The PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) is the new European regulation now governing all packaging placed on the EU market. It entered into application on 12 August 2026 and imposes concrete obligations on any manufacturer or producer of packaging, whether household or professional, plastic or non-plastic.
RecycleMe supports you in navigating this regulation with two complementary levels of engagement:
- a PPWR checklist to identify precisely which articles apply to your packaging and assess your non-compliance risks,
- a PPWR training session to upskill your teams directly involved.
Note: The checklist can be purchased standalone. The training is offered as a complement to the checklist.
Who is it for?
The PPWR checklist is aimed at:
- Any packaging manufacturer or producer subject to PPWR obligations in Europe
- Regulatory, procurement, compliance or packaging teams responsible for the PPWR file
The PPWR training is aimed at:
- All support functions directly concerned by the PPWR: regulatory, R&D, packaging, procurement, CSR, marketing
- Private label (own-brand) manufacturers with specific obligations towards their retailer clients
- Any group wishing to build a shared understanding of the regulation

Our Approach
- The PPWR Checklist
RecycleMe carries out an article-by-article analysis of the PPWR, tailored to your packaging portfolio. It covers all obligations applicable to manufacturers and producers:
- Substances of concern (Article 5)
- Recyclability (Article 6)
- Recycled plastic content (Article 7)
- Bio-based raw materials (Article 8)
- Compostable packaging (Article 9)
- Packaging reduction and minimisation (Article 10)
- Reusable packaging (Article 11)
- Harmonised labelling (Articles 12, 13 and 14)
- Prohibition of single-use plastic packaging formats
- EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC)
- Articulation with national EPR obligations
For each article, we identify whether you are concerned, assess your risk level and prioritise the actions to be taken.
- The PPWR Training
RecycleMe delivers a 3-hour online training session for 1 to 8 participants of your choice. It enables your teams to go through each article of the regulation in detail, develop your chronological action plan and assess your non-compliance risks for each product range. The programme covers in particular:
- The definition of each stakeholder’s role: manufacturers, suppliers, producers
- Obligations relating to technical data sheets and the declaration of conformity
- Packaging design requirements (recyclability, minimisation, substances of concern)
- Reuse obligations and validation of reuse partners
For private label (own-brand) manufacturers, we detail your specific obligations towards your retailer clients
